Flashpacking looks glamorous on social media. I was very much a flashpacker when I first set off on my travels around the world.

 

However, along the way, I realised that the best moments I'd experienced, were those where I camped, got dirty, cold, and, tired. The people I met were different. The scenery was incomparable. The memories are those that I'll remember forever.

However, going from flashpacker to backpacker wasn't easy! So here's a guide for those who need some insight, from a (not so much) newbie!
